‘3 IPL teams that will be affected the most because of England vs Australia series’
Australia is all set to tour England in September. The series between the two teams starts on September 4 and ends on September 16. This means that the Aussie and English players playing that series wouldn’t be available for the first week of IPL, meaning a few players would be missing the initial matches and their respective franchises would have to play their first few matches without them. 3 IPL teams that will be affected the most because of this as they would have to play their first 1 or 2 games without their key players. Today we shall talk about 3 IPL teams that will be affected the most because of the England vs Australia Series.
1) Rajasthan Royals:
Inarguably the most affected team due to the England vs Australia LOI series, Rajasthan Royals would not only be playing without their key players like Joe Buttler and Jofra Archer but they will also have to start their campaign without their skipper Steve Smith. There’s no clear information on Ben Stokes as he had stated that he won’t be playing in the remaining two Test matches against Pakistan as well as the T20I series. There’s a huge chance that RR would start their campaign without Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, AJ Tye and maybe even Ben Stokes.
2) Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Another team which would have to play their first few matches without their key players is Sunrises Hyderabad. The Orange army would have to begin their campaign without their captain David Warner.
This is a big loss for them as he has been their lone warrior on numerous occasions and is inarguably their best player. They won’t even have the services of Bairstow and hence will have to play their initial matches without their iconic opening duo. M.Marsh is another player who won’t be available as he’s been selected in the Australian squad.
3) Royal Challengers Bangalore:
RCB would have to start their campaign without four players. Out of the three, two players were very vital in their team combination. The Aussie skipper Aaron Finch would miss RCB’s initial games along with the English all-rounder Moeen Ali. RCB would also miss out on the services of Kane Richardson and Josh Philippe as they have been selected in the Australian squad as well.
