Steve Smith was making a comeback into the international cricket after 16 month ban. Within a hour of play the team was under pressure with two wickets down and Smith was on the crease . Smith was playing his first international game After 16 months and the Australian team was reduced 122 for 8. The English fans were booming at him calling him ‘Cheater’. But Steve Smith is a real warrior.  In the very first match of the WTC 2019-2020 Steve Smith played a brilliant knock of 144 in just 219 after the quality bowling side in their own den. Steve Smith’s score was two more than the team’s half total. He played this tremendous knock under great pressure and build inning with the tail enders.  It is so true. Steve Smith is regarded as the king of test cricket.

Kyle Mayers

210 vs Bangladesh, 2021, 1st test match

Mayers made the one of the Best Debut of all-time in Test Cricket

The West Indies team was chasing a mammoth total of 395 in the fourth innings of the first test. The windies team lost their first three wickets for just 59 runs on the board. Then  the debutant Kyle Mayers walked out in the middle. The Bangladeshi team was in full control of the match. Digest required 7 wickets to win the test match and which was just a mere  formality. Kyle Mayers build a partnership with another debutant ,Bonner. It took care of the scoreboard pressure  and let the runs flow with lesser risks. Kyle Mayers scored 210 in 310 balls and remained unbeaten throughout the innings. This match became memorable for both West Indies and the young lad Kyle Mayers . Nobody expected West Indies team to win in this fashion.

Rishabh Pant

89 vs Australia, 2021, 4th test match

Pant played probably one the best Innings by an Indian in Australia

The Fourth Test against Australia in Gabba India team was chasing a hugh target 328. This win was necessary for India to qualify for the WTC final . India were 1 wicket down at the start of last day’s play. Indian team never looked to draw the test match but they wanted to win the Gabba test. Indian team required to pace their innings in order to win the game. Rishabh Pant played one of the epic knocks. He scored 89 runs in just 138 deliveries.  He also played the winning shot.  India managed to beat Australia in their fortress just because of this man. This knock  proved his abilities to the ones who criticized him.

335 vs Pakistan , 2019, 2nd test match

In the second test match against Pakistan one of player superb knock off 335 not out. He was  making a comeback into the international cricket after a severe ban of 16 months. He was criticized after the Ashes series against Australia.  He just managed to score 95 runs in 5 test matches. The pressure was huge on him in the home series against the Pakistan.  He scored the triple century with the healthy strike rate of 80. He scored 335 off 418 balls and remained unbeaten as Australian captain, Tim Paine declared the innings.

We are now going to discuss about the best knock of the WTC. This match was a real trailer for the true cricket fans. Ben Stokes added 76 runs for the last wicket with Jack Leach. He was very lucky throughout the innings. But luck favors the brave, it is rightly said.  He scored the boundary and took England home after struggling for the whole day. His expressions could express his emotions on that day. It was the other improbable task. The first was winning the world cup 2019. He managed to score 135 runs which was not less than the triple century.
