The role of a coach is very significant in the success of a team. Every IPL team must have a good coach in order to win the trophy. Today we will be speaking about all the current head coaches of each and every IPL team.

1) Stephen Fleming : Chennai Super Kings

Unarguably the most successful IPL coach of all time, Fleming has been the head coach for more than a decade and has won 5 titles including 3 IPL titles. His has always prioritized experience. This mantra has often been successful in the case of CSK.

2) Mahela Jayawardene: Mumbai Indians

Replacing the great Ricky Ponting is a difficult task but ever since the departure of Ponting the head coach of MI has always been the silent assassin from Sri Lanka. Jayawardene has done a great job and has justified his legacy. MI has won 2 titles under him.

3) Simon Katich: Royal Challengers Bangalore

For a team like RCB which have a lot of International superstars they still always needed a good coach. Katich was appointed as the head coach of RCB for the upcoming season. Katich was a successful coach for KKR and there’s no doubt that he would be a successful coach for RCB.

4) Trevor Bayliss: Sunrisers Hyderabad

Trevor Bayliss has been one of the greatest coaches of this generation. Be it in International cricket or franchise cricket. He has not won an IPL title as a coach but has also won the World Cup as the head coach of England. The appointment of Bayliss as the SRH coach would be a boon as they would want a good replacement for Tom Moody who was a very successful coach for the orange army.

5) Brendon McCullum: Kolkata Knight Riders

Baz has been a KKR icon since the inception of IPL. He was one of the best IPL openers and has a very good cricket brain. McCullum’s appointment as the head coach in 2020 was a move which made all the KKR fans happy.

6) Ricky Ponting: Delhi Capitals

Unarguably the sharpest cricket brain, Ricky Ponting as the DC coach has totally changed the way at which people perceive the Delhi based team. His strategy of nurturing youngsters and backing raw talents as paid of big time and he has been one of the pioneers of the “New Delhi” team.

7) Andre McDonald: Rajasthan Royals

McDonald was named as the head coach of RR last year. His innovative thinking and his experience as a coach in other leagues will be handy for the double R’s. He also has had played with the current Steve Smith, the current RR captain and hence the team dynamics is expected to be fantastic.

8) Anil Kumble: Kings XI Punjab

Kumble is unarguably the greatest Indian bowler of all time. He also was very successful as an Indian coach. The fact that he and the current KXIP captain KL Rahul are from the state should be a blessing in disguise and Kumble is undoubtfully going to add value as the head coach of KXIP.
