Yet another disappointing end for the South African side in an ICC event. The South African team only lost against the Mighty australians in the the first game of the tournament by 5 wickets and 2 balls to spare.
South African team won all the remaining League games. In their last League match they beat the table toppers ,England. The South African side fail to improve their net run rate to pip Australia 2 second place after England Australia and South Africa finished with four wins each.
Rise of Young Batters in the team
Rassie van der dussen continue to impress in the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Is code 177 once the strike rate of 116 and with a excellent average of 59. He showed a lot of maturity while playing at number three for the South African side. In the last League match for South Africa he scored 94 off just 60 deliveries against the informing and side which proved to be a match winning knock.
Meanwhile Aiden Markram also looked in a impressive touch. Is code hun 62 runs in five games at and strike rate of 145. He scored two half centuries in the tournament. He scored quick fire 51 against West Indies with a strike rate of 196 and against England he scored 52 in just 25 deliveries.
Quinton de Kock also played some crucial locks with captain Temba Bavuma. This shows the sign of relief for the South African cricket in the upcoming future. The South African Batters looked in great touch throughout the tournament and shown the maturity during their innings.

Great performances by the spinners
The South African spin duo, Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi gave some impressive performances in the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Shamsi was very impressive in the middle overs while Maharaj bowled some drought spells in the powerplays.
Shamsi picked up 8 wickets in 5 games at an average of 15 and an excellent economy rate of 6.3. He continued to pick up wickets and controlled the run rate in the middle overs.

Keshav Maharaj failed to pick wickets but was able to control the run flow in the powerplays and in the middle overs as well. The duo showed signs of great spinners. The duo will continue to improve.
Dwaine Pretorius contributions as a bowler
Dwain Pretorius has an excellent outing with the ball in the ICC men’s T20 World Cup. He was selected ahead of Wiaan Mulder as the bowling allrounder but he did not disappoint the South African management.
He picked up 9 wickets at an excellent average of 11.22 in five games. He bowled within impressive economy of 6.8. The South African team used him as a death bowler.
His key victims comprised Kieron Pollard, Dawid Malan ,Liam livingstone ,Chris Gayle and many big names. The South African team have found the perfect bowling all rounder in in Dwain Pretorius.
“This team knows that we are on a journey, upward curve, that we are learning along the way. You know, we are by no means are a finished product,” said Boucher
“These games will stand us in very good stead because as I said, every game we played was under pressure.”
He added: “It’s a young side. We are still developing and hopefully we can go from strength-to-strength, take this confidence through, as well.
“So we are heading in the right direction. We just need a bit of good luck and a bit of fortune to go our way and hopefully we can put something in the trophy cabinet soon.”
