The ICC Women’s T20I World Cup 2023 will begin today in South Africa. The first match of the tournament will be played between Group A teams South Africa Women and Sri Lanka Women in Cape Town. This year will be the eighth edition of the Women’s T20I World Cup.
A total of 10 teams are participating in the Women’s T20I World Cup this year. Australia Women, Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka have been placed in Group A. Whereas England Women, India, Ireland, Pakistan and West Indies have been placed in Group-B.
A total of 23 matches will be played in the ICC Women’s T20I World Cup 2023. Australia are the defending champions. Let us tell you that the matches will be played in the first league stage and the top two teams of both the groups will qualify for the semi-finals. The knockout matches will then be played at Newlands and Cape Town on February 23 and 24 respectively. The final match will be played on 26 February.
