MS Dhoni on his CSK future: My last T20 will hopefully be in Chennai
Arguably the most successful captain in the history of game, MS Dhoni stated that he is hopeful to play his last T20 match at the Chepauk stadium in Chennai. The current Skipper of Chennai Super King who let them to 4 IPL titles wish to play his last game at franchise’s home.
MS Dhoni also explained that he has not yet taken any decision on retirement. MS Dhoni added suspense over his participation in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. He said still has plenty of time left to make the decision on his availability for the franchise. MS Dhoni recently led Chennai Super King to their fourth title win in the 14th edition of the IPL in 2021.
Karnataka, Tamil Nadu make into the SMAT Final
Tamil Nadu and Karnataka reached the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 after contrasting wins. Tamil Nadu qualified for the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the third consecutive time. Tamil Nadu outplayed Hyderabad, beating them by 8 wickets to qualify for the finals of the said Mushtaq Ali trophy 2021 in the first semi final.
The second game of the day, where Karnataka clinched a thriller over unbeaten Vidarbha, saw Rohan Kadam’s 56-ball 87 helping Karnataka chase the score. The team had couple of ducks and single digit scores but the opening partnership of Rahul and his skipper easily managed to take Karnataka to the finals. Manish Pandey who also scored a fifty, 54 off 42 balls, added 132 with Kadam for the first wicket.

Clinical performance by bowlers help Pakistan seal series
Bangladesh for the second time in a row were outplayed by the Pakistan team. The batting department has been a concern for Bangladesh since the start of T20 world cup in UAE and Oman. Mohammad Nawaz and Shaheen Shah Afridi picked two wickets each to restrict Bangladesh at 1o8 for 7 wickets.
Bangladesh was once again looked impressive with the ball, every bowler tried hard but they did not had enough runs on the board to defend. The poor batting was supported by the sloppy fielding in the second innings. They dropped couple of catches. Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman added 85 for the second wicket, after Babar Azam was bowled by Mustafizur Rahman early. Fakhar Zaman’s unbeaten 57 took the game away from the hosts.
