Cricket for the next two to three months is all set to bring about a smile on the face of each and every cricket fan as there’s going to be non stop action till November. With the England vs Ireland series coming to an end on August 4th the England vs Pakistan series begun on the 5th of August, just a day after the completion of the ODI series against Ireland. This was one of the major reasons why most of the players who were in the Test team weren’t considered for the Ireland series at home. Pakistan’s tour of England compromises of three Tests and three T20I matches.
The second Test match between England and Pakistan test series is on from the 13th of August to the 17th of August and the third Test between both the sides is from the 21st of August to the 25th of August. The second and third Test will be played at Southampton. The T20I series between both the teams then begin on the 28th of August where the 1st T20I will be played on 28, the second on 30 August and the Third and final T20I on the 1st of September. Post-Pakistan’s tour to England, we will mostly be seeing Australia tour England for a limited-overs series consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Although there isn’t an official confirmation regarding the series both the ECB and CA are in talks for the series to start on September 4 and end on September 15 or 16. Australia is likely to get the green light from their government as they have already announced their 26-man squad for the tour. The report further stated the Cricket schedule for the next 3 months for the series too. The T20I series will be played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton while the ODI series will be played in Manchester. The three T20Is will be played on the 4th, 6th and 8th September before three ODIs take place on the 11th, 13th and 16th.
Following the series, players from both the countries are set to leave for the UAE to take part in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Arguably the biggest carnival of cricket, IPL is all set to begin on September 19 and end on November 10 for which the arrangements have already begun and the BCCI are making sure that everything goes smoothly.
