The Gold-Medalist touted Wrestler, left India with lots of hopes and blessing from Indian fans to win an Olympic medal at 2020 Tokyo Olympics. But unfortunately, she was unable to win an Olympic medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The aftermath of defeat at the Tokyo Olympics
Vinesh Phogat has to face allegations regarding discipline after returning from Tokyo Olympics. After the set of incidents happened in Tokyo as reported by the management she has been suspended by Wrestling Federation. However the response from the Wrestler has put the new head to the series of controversies.
What Vinesh Phogat responded on her suspension?
Vinesh Phogat said that after the Tokyo Olympics defeat , she is mentally down and it is that she will not return to the mat again. Vinesh Phogat also stated that she is not happy with her performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
“I don’t know when I will return (to the mat). Maybe I won’t. I feel I was better off with that broken leg. I had something to correct. Now my body is not broken, but I’m truly broken.”
Vinesh Phogat indicated that she might not return to mat again. Vinesh Phogat said that she is not happy with the things going around her.
The Kit Wore by the Wrestler starred the reasons for Suspension
As per the federation, she did not wear the name of the official sponsor of the Indian team and also refused to stay along with the Indian contingent.

The wrestling federation had given a notice to Vinesh Phogat on three occasions and gave her time until August 16 to answer the notice. Shet broke her silence and said that the real reason why she did not stay with the team was because of the risk of the coronavirus. Vinesh Phogat said that she did not want to risk her teammates with the virus and that is the reason she wanted to stay away from them for 2-3 days.
It is worth mentioning that while Vinesh Phogat didn’t train with the Indian wrestlers, she was staying in the Tokyo Olympics Athletes Village and followed the schedule of the wrestlers. There is no rule that says that she has to train with Indian wrestlers while at the Olympics.
