The Indian Cricket Team was very consistent in the first edition of the World Test Championship 2019-2021. Indian team won 5 out of their 6 Series. They won 12 matches in the World Test Championship out of 17 games. Winning percentage of the Indian team was 72.2 % and they were the topper off the table. By topping the table Indian team reached the the finals of the World Test Championship 2021. But once again Indian team fail to make a mark in the ICC tournament finals and lost by 8 wickets against New Zealand.

Now India will begin there next World Test Championship cycle 2021-2023 on 4th of August.  Indian team will play 5 match test series against England in England.

The Indian team will kick start their New World Test Championship cycle from 4th of August. The first test match will be played at Trent Bridge. 2nd test match will be played at the Mecca of cricket, Lord’s.  Then Indian team will get a break of 8 days. The third test will begin from 25th of August in Headingley. The 4th and the 5th test will be played in Kingston oval and Old Trafford respectively.

New Zealand’s tour of India

Indian team only lost 5 test matches in the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship including the final against New Zealand. The three losses out of 5 came against the New Zealand team. The Indian team will look to take a revenge against the New Zealand team when they will tour India in November 2021 for the two-match test series.

India’s tour of South Africa

Indian team is yet to make a statement on South African soil. The Indian team was very impressive in the last over of South Africa but did not manage to win the series. Now the South African team is not at their peak, the Indian team has a very good chance to create history when they tour the Proteas land in December, 2021 for a three match series.

Sri Lanka tour of India

Sri Lanka the old-favorite rivals of Team India

Just before the 2022 season of Indian Premier League, Sri Lankan team will tour India for a three match series. The Sri Lankan team will also play 3 match T20 Series against India in India.

Australia’s tour of India 

India to welcome Australia in this leg

Indian team has conquered the last three Border-Gavaskar trophy. India also have beaten Australia in Australia twice in last two series. The Australian team will tour India for a 4 match test series in October 2022.

India’s tour of Bangladesh 

Quite easier to face Bangladesh

The Indian team will tour Bangladesh for a two match test series. This will be the India’s final series in the World Test Championship cycle 2021-2023. This series will conclude the  6 Series that are to be concluded in the world test Championship cycle 2021-2023. The window is not yet been confirmed.
