In the T20I World Cup 2022, the Indian team suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of England in the semi-finals.

After this T20I World Cup, many senior players are likely to be blamed. The Indian team will then go on a tour of New Zealand. Here the team has to play three T20Is and three ODI matches.

Many senior players have been rested for this tour. Hardik Pandya has been made the captain for the T20I series. While to Shikhar Dhawan for ODIs.

If reports are to be believed, coach Rahul Dravid can also be rested for this series. VVS Laxman can be seen taking over the post of coach in place of Rahul Dravid.

Senior players have been given rest –

Senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami have been rested for the New Zealand tour.

All these players will go straight back to India from Australia after the T20 World Cup. After the New Zealand tour, the Indian team will tour Bangladesh in December.
