1. Kegan Peterson
Kegan Peterson, the new batting sensation of the South Africa. He proved to be the hero for the Proteas in the test series against India at home. He batted for more than 100 balls in three innings out of 6. He made his debut against West Indies back in 2016 Darren Sammy international cricket stadium. After 5 years he got the chance to play once again for South Africa.
He beautifully capitalized his opportunities. He made career-best 82 in the last innings of the deciding match and went on to win the game for the team but missed the well deserved half century. He scored 276 runs in the series including three fifty plus scores. He was named as the player of the series. Hence he is in our list of Cricketkeeda Sports picks of the month January-2022.

2. Dewald Brevis
One more South African made his place in the Cricketkeeda Sports picks of the month. The Eighteen year old is making his mark in the ongoing ICC men’s under 19 World Cup 2022 in West Indies. He is also considered as the ‘junior de Villiers’. He is currently the leading run getter of the tournament. He has scored 386 runs in 5 games with an excellent average of 73.60. He has scored 3 fifties and a century in the tournament.

3. Akeal Hosein
Akeal Hosein from West Indies makes his appearance in the Cricketkeeda Sports picks of the month. He has also represented u19 West Indies in the past. He made his ODI debut against Bangladesh last year at the Sher-E Bangla National cricket stadium. In 3 ODI games , he picked 6 wickets. And in T20Is ,he picket 8 wickets in 5 games this month.
