The knockouts of Pakistani T20 League are all set to begins from Tuesday. This time where Sporting events across the globe including the Cash Rich Cricket League IPL, NBA, La Liga are getting postponed because of the Corona pandemic, there the Pakistan cricket board have decided to move ahead with the ongoing tournament.
Playoffs Cut Short, Final on March 18
The PCB has STILL scrapped its playoffs from a four day extravaganza to a two day affair. The Two Semi Finals will now be played as double header on March 17. The Final will take place in Lahore on 18th of March. The following changes announced by the board were only made after consultation with the stake holders. As many as 14 Overseas players and coaches have withdrawn from PSL because of the latest development of travel restriction.
A large number of English players were among the most significant ones to pull out from the league. Peshawar Zalmi’s Tom Banton, Liam Livingstone, Gregory and Carlos Brathwaite; and Sultan’s James Vince, Karachi’s Alex Hales have already left. The list expandeds to include Liam Dawson, Rilee Rossouw, Jason Roy, Tymal Mills, Colin Munro, David Malan, Luke Ronchi, DaleSteyn and the coach Ben Fostor.
