MI New York got off to a blazing start in the Major League Cricket. They have emerged victorious in both matches played so far. In a match against Los Angeles Night Riders, MI tasted the sweet flavor of victory with a resounding 105-run win.

Not only did their captain, Kieron Pollard, shine with his leadership and bowling skills, but a video capturing their unique celebration on the field is also going viral.

In the 10th over of the Knight Riders’ innings, Pollard’s delivery took a heavy edge off Andre Russell’s bat and landed in the wicketkeeper’s gloves. All players appealed vehemently, but the on-field umpire ruled in favor of the batsman. Pollard then decided to use the review, and the replay clearly showed the ball touching Russell’s bat.

With the third umpire’s decision to give him out, Pollard sprinted across the field. Meanwhile, the team’s wicketkeeper, Nicholas Pooran, was seen throwing his gloves and chasing after Pollard. Eventually, Pollard halted at a spot and struck a yoga pose.

Chasing MI New York’s target of 156 runs, the Knight Riders’ team lost wickets at regular intervals. Opening batsman Martin Guptill returned to the pavilion without opening his account, while Shimron Hetmyer top-scored with just 26 runs.

Andre Russell fell prey to Pollard after scoring only 2 runs, and captain Sunil Narine managed a mere 2 runs as well. Even Rillee Roussow failed to produce anything significant, and the entire team was bowled out with just 50 runs on the board.

MI New York’s bowlers wreaked havoc on the opposition. Trent Boult, with figures of 2 wickets for 10 runs in 2.5 overs, made a quick impact, while Rabada claimed 2 wickets by conceding 16 runs. Captain Kieron Pollard also displayed his bowling prowess, dismissing Russell and Hetmyer in his two overs, giving away only 9 runs.

Overall, it has been a sensational start for MI New York in the Major League Cricket, with their captain Kieron Pollard leading from the front and their bowlers dominating the opposition. The team’s unique celebration and Pollard’s exceptional performance are generating tremendous buzz among fans and cricket enthusiasts alike.
