India is set to commence a two-match Test series against the West Indies, starting on July 12th in Dominica. Prior to this highly anticipated series, the Indian players participated in a photoshoot wearing the new Test jerseys, a video of which was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter account.

The new Test jerseys feature the likes of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, and several other players striking poses. BCCI captioned the video as, “Lights, camera, action.”

It is worth mentioning that India will be playing their first Test match against the West Indies on July 12th in Dominica. This Test presents an opportunity for young talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad to make their debut for the Indian team.

Prior to the Test, the Indian players were seen sporting the new Test jerseys, and the BCCI shared a video of the event on social media.

If we speak of India’s Test record against the West Indies, the two teams have played a total of 98 Test matches to date. Out of these, India has won 22 matches, while the West Indies have emerged victorious in 30. The West Indies have won 16 matches on Indian soil, whereas India has won 13 matches at home.

However, in the last two decades, Team India has enjoyed a remarkable record against the West Indies. The West Indies team has failed to defeat India in a Test match for 21 years. The last time the West Indies managed to secure a Test victory against India was in 2002. At that time, the West Indies won by 155 runs and clinched the five-match Test series 2-1.

As the Test series between India and the West Indies commences, fans eagerly await captivating performances from both teams.
