Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has been fined Rs 12 lakh. This is because Delhi Capitals maintained a slow over-rate against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 34th match of IPL 2023 on Monday. Delhi Capitals registered their second win in the tournament by defeating Hyderabad.
Delhi Capitals made a score of 144/9 in 20 overs by batting first in the match played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In response, the team of Sunrisers Hyderabad could score 137/6. Delhi bowlers did not complete the overs on time.
The IPL issued a press release saying, ‘Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has been fined Rs 12 lakh as his team maintained a slow over-rate against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Since this is the first offense of the team, the captain has been fined.
