After the defeat in the 11th match of IPL against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati, there is a disturbance in the Delhi Capitals team. Head coach Ricky Ponting has hinted at a big change.

Apart from captain David Warner, there is no consistency in the performance of anyone. He has scored 158 runs in three matches, Warner is second in terms of scoring the most runs. However, the team is not getting the benefit of his batting. According to media reports, the Delhi franchise may consider changing the captain.

The team is not happy with some of Warner’s decisions. He is scoring runs but the strike rate is very low. It seems that Warner is not able to play freely under the pressure of captaincy.

Ricky Ponting has said that he will talk to captain David Warner about major changes in the team. He said, “When I see these players training, it feels great, but we are not getting the results on the field.” 

Ponting said – Will take a decision after talking to the captain

Ponting said, “We have to think about the players we are sending on the field. What we have done so far is not working. As a coaching group, we will talk to our captain and decide.”

Parth Jindal expressed disappointment

Not only coach Ricky Ponting is disappointed with the poor performance of Delhi Capitals, but the chairman of the franchise, Parth Jindal has also expressed his disappointment. He has questioned the intentions of the batsmen by tweeting.

In a tweet, Jindal questioned the ‘willpower’ shown by the batsmen so far this season. However, he denied that he did not trust his team. Jindal tweeted and wrote, “Three defeats in three matches. It is very difficult to watch this Delhi Capitals, lacks willpower with the bat. Unable to execute plans. We believe in this team. I am sure it will make a fresh start right from Tuesday.”
