Media reports suggest that the IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has reached out to the great Australian Justin Langer to take over as the head coach of the team. It is revealed from the reports that the LSG management has had extensive discussions with Justin Langer, and if everything goes well, he could be with the team next year. Lucknow franchise is in need of a head coach as Andy Flower’s two-year contract with IPL 2023 is coming to an end.
After the Sandpaper scandal, Justin Langer took charge of the Australian team and performed exceptionally well. Under his leadership, the team achieved remarkable results even without star players. He guided the team to victory in the T20I World Cup 2021 and under his coaching, Perth Scorchers won three Big Bash League titles in their first four years.
If the negotiations between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Justin Langer go well, he will be a part of Lucknow’s coaching staff alongside Morne Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, and Vijay Dahiya.
It is worth noting that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) qualified for the playoffs in IPL 2022. The team had a splendid performance in IPL 2023 and played good cricket.
