Barcelona secured their first preseason win in a thrilling El Clásico against Real Madrid at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, with a 3-0 victory. The match was far from friendly, filled with intensity and great chances for both teams.

In the first half, Barça dominated the opening 20 minutes, controlling the midfield and taking the lead through Ousmane Dembélé’s goal from a set piece. Real Madrid fought back but missed a penalty and hit the crossbar multiple times. Barça also suffered minor injuries to Andreas Christensen and Ilkay Gundogan and as a precautionary measure they were substituted by Eric Garcia and Sergio Roberto respectively.
The second half saw Xavi Hernández’s team keeping their starters on the pitch for 75 minutes to improve fitness. While Real Madrid had some moments, they couldn’t capitalize on their chances. A late surge from Barça saw Fermín López score a stunning outside the box goal with his left foot, and also providing the assist to Ferran Torres which sealed the 3-0 victory.
Although Dembele scored the opening goal, but his indecisiveness has been a major concern for FC Barcelona for more than 5 years now including concerns regarding his inconsistency and unavailability. Real Madrid’s Vini Jr missed the penalty and hit the post various times, but he destroyed Sergino Dest in the 2nd half.
Frenkie De Jong has one of the best plays of his life playing too deep in the midfield along with Oriol Romuel.
The game was full of excitement, with Madrid hitting the woodwork four times, missing a penalty, and having several other opportunities, while Barça displayed moments of brilliance and played well in patches. Ultimately, it was an exhilarating 90 minutes with a satisfying outcome for Barcelona.
