Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson played a stormy inning against Gujarat Titans, he scored 60 runs off 32 balls. Samson hit three fours and six sixes in his innings.
Apart from him, Shimron Hetmyar scored an unbeaten 56 off 26 balls. Samson and Hetmyer lead Rajasthan to their first win in IPL history over Gujarat Titans. After this match, a statement of Samson went viral.
In the last two matches, Samson could not open the account. When asked about his form before the match against Gujarat, he said, “I think I’ve had enough omelettes with two ducks. Now is the time to score some runs.” Samson proved his statement right after this. He hit Rashid Khan for three consecutive sixes during his explosive innings. He is the second batsman after Chris Gayle to hit Rashid Khan for three consecutive sixes.

Pleased with Samson’s performance, noted commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted a message for the Indian selectors. He wrote, “I will feed Sanju Samson in the Indian T20I team every day.” Samson has played innings of 55, 42, 0, 0, and 60 runs in five matches so far this season. Rajasthan has won four out of five matches. He has eight points in his account and is at the top of the points table.

Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans scored 177 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. In response, Rajasthan won the match by scoring 179 runs for seven wickets in 19.2 overs. Rajasthan achieved success in defeating Gujarat for the first time.
Gujarat Titans entered the IPL last year, three matches were played between the two teams in 2022. It also includes a final. Gujarat had won all the matches. Rajasthan avenged the defeat in the final.
