Expensive Players In IPL 2023 Auction: The IPL 2023 auction was successfully staged in Kochi on December 23 and Kane Williamson becomes the first player to go under the hammer and is eventually brought by Gujarat Titans at his base price of INR 2 crore.

Prior to the auction, many experts start to throw their views on the probable player to receive the highest bid in the IPL 2023 Auction.

Sam Curran, Ben Stokes, Cameron Green, Nicholas Pooran, and Harry Brook are the names that many cricket experts had in common in their list of probable players to receive the highest bid in the auction war.

5. Harry Brook

Harry Brook who made his International debut for England in January 2022 ended the year as a millionaire after SRH signed Brook for INR 13.25 crores in the IPL 2023 Auction.

Harry was also named the captain of England’s squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and became the second England captain after Alastair Cook to score a century in the U19 World Cup. Harry Brook has so far played 20 T20Is and scored 372 runs at a strike rate of 137.78 with the highest score of 81.

4. Nicholas Pooran

West Indies wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran and former SRH player bagged INR 16 crore in IPL 2023 Auction. Lucknow Super Giant who ended up in 4th position in IPL 2022 season bagged Pooran for a whopping INR 16 crores.

Nicholas Pooran made his IPL debut in 2017 for Mumbai Indians and has played 47 IPL matches for various teams and scored 912 runs which include 4 half-centuries. In his last season with SRH, Pooran scored 306 runs from playing 14 matches at an average of 38.25. The only thing Pooran lacks is consistency but on his day can be a great threat for the opposition.

CSK might rope Ben Stokes in a vision of naming him as a future captain replacing MS Dhoni. Ben stokes already has the experience of playing under MS Dhoni during his stint with Rising Pune Supergiants. Ben Stokes has so far played 43 T20Is and scored 920 runs which include 2 centuries and 2 half centuries. With the ball, he bagged 28 wickets at an economy rate of 8.56. Ben Stokes is a more matured and big game player version of Sam Curran.

The Australian player Cameron Green becomes the 2nd most expensive player in the IPL 2023 Auction after being signed by Mumbai Indians for INR 17.50 crores.

Mumbai Indians bought Cameron Green at the price of INR 17.50 crore. Cameron Green made his international debut for the Australia national cricket team in December 2020. Being a Bowling all-rounder, Green played 8 T20Is and scored 139 runs, and bagged 5 wickets at an economy of 8.90.

Sam Curran was part of the England team that won the 2022 T20 World Cup, taking the most wickets for England at the tournament, and was named Player of the Tournament. Even in CSK colors, Sam Curran was an X-factor in the all-rounder department.
