In a thrilling encounter, West Indies secured a triumphant victory over England, clinching the 3-match ODI series 2-1 with a 4-wicket win via the DLS method. Matthew Ford emerged as the star performer, claiming a remarkable 3-wicket haul alongside Alzarri Joseph, who also scalped 3 wickets. Romario Shepard’s explosive innings of 41 off 28 balls further fueled West Indies’ triumph.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, West Indies set the tone early as Matthew Ford dismantled England’s top order, reducing them to a precarious 45-3. Ben Duckett’s resilient knock of 71 off 73 deliveries steadied the English ship.

Despite a rain-induced reduction to 40 overs, England managed to post 206, with contributions from Liam Livingstone (45) and a collective effort from the lower order. Ford and Joseph, with 3 wickets each, and Shepard’s 2-wicket haul, were instrumental for West Indies.

Facing a target of 206, West Indies encountered early setbacks, losing Brandon King to Gus Atkinson. Alick Athanaze displayed grit with a valuable 41, while Kecay Carty’s brilliant fifty kept the chase on track.

However, a middle-order collapse put West Indies in a precarious position. The tide turned in their favor during the latter stages of the innings, thanks to Romario Shepard’s explosive 41 off 28 deliveries. His onslaught helped West Indies successfully chase down the total, securing a series victory.

The individual contributions of England’s batting lineup saw Duckett leading with 71, followed by Livingstone’s 45. In response, West Indies weathered the storm with Athanaze’s 41 and Carty’s impressive fifty, overcoming adversity to emerge victorious. The series win reflected the resilience and determination of the West Indies team in the face of challenges, ultimately celebrating their success against England.
