West Bengal government allows 75% attendance for India-West Indies T20Is : India vs West Indies 2022

As per the notifications of the West Bengal state government, a crowd of around 50,000 people is expected during the India – West Indies series. The West Bengal government have announced that 75% of the crowd is allowed inside the stadium during the three-match T20 Series between India and West Indies starting from February 16 at the Eden Gardens.

As per the state government notification issued on Monday, “all indoor and outdoor sports activities will be allowed with 75 per cent of the capacity of the venue”.

“We are thankful to the honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, chief secretary and Government of West Bengal for announcing resumption of sporting activities as well as for allowing 75 per cent of the capacity of spectators back to the stadium,” CAB president Avishek Dalmiya said in a statement.

The Cricket Association of Bengal is also planning to resume the local tournament following all the precautions and COVID-19 protocols.
