In the match against Rajasthan, Rahul was struggling to score runs against a formidable attack led by pacer Trent Boult. Seeing this, Pietersen surprisingly attacked the Lucknow Super Giants captain.

Rahul could not even open the account on the first six balls. In front of him, Trent Boult did not give a single run in the first over. Rahul could only score 19 runs in 19 balls in the powerplay. He scored 39 runs off 32 balls. During this, he hit four fours and a six.
