Venkatesh Iyer has played just the 10 FC games and the 24 List A games. What if we were to tell you that he has scored just the one hundred in these games? Venkatesh Iyer wasn’t a known name back then. The attacking Left-Handed Opener made his T20 debut against the Railways cricket team. It was at the Holkar Stadium in March 2015 and he then went on to make his List A debut against Saurashtra cricket team at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

He has scored 545 runs at FC level. The Southpaw has also scored 6 fifties at an average of 36. When it comes to List A, Venkatesh Iyer has again scored 849 runs at an average of 47.16. Thus, his numbers look decent to say the least. Besides, he is more than just a handy bowlers and cam bowl as well. He has picked over 20 wickets in his domestic career. Thus, this tempted the Kolkata Knight Riders to go for him in the auctions. Venkatesh Iyer was then bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.
