Nos two FIRs have been registered against Wrestling Federation of India President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at the Connaught Place police station. Of these, one FIR has been registered under the POSCO Act on the complaint of a teenager, while in the other, the complaints of six other female wrestlers have been taken jointly.
Earlier in the day, the police had told the Supreme Court that it would register an FIR by late night. He also told the players that if any other player wants to complain, he can. Pranav Tayal, DCP informed that the first FIR pertains to the allegations leveled by a minor victim, relating to humiliation of Vinay under the POCSO Act as well as relevant sections of the IPC.
The second FIR has been registered under relevant sections related to outraging modesty to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the complaints given by other, adult complainants.

Women wrestlers have been demanding registration of an FIR against the MP for a long time. For this, many wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have been protesting at Jantar Mantar since April 23. There are allegations that women wrestlers are sexually exploited.
Also, the president of the federation acts in a dictatorial and arbitrary manner. On April 25, the Supreme Court had agreed to hear the petition of seven women wrestlers. These women wrestlers demanded the court to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Earlier in the day, talking to a TV channel, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that he was ready to resign from the post of president, but the wrestlers assured that they would end their protest. There is full faith in the judiciary, he said in his home town Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. I am not running anywhere. I am in my house, I will fully cooperate with Delhi Police. Whatever the decision of the Supreme Court is, I accept it.

Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh with World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev in support of the wrestlers protesting demanding the sacking of Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Indian cricketers like (Harbhajan Singh) and Irfan Pathan have joined.
There have been allegations by India’s top wrestlers that Singh sexually assaulted and exploited female wrestlers over the past decade.
“Will they ever get justice,” Kapil Dev asked in an Instagram post along with a picture of Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, who have been protesting at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for the past five days.
While former Indian spinner Harbhajan tweeted on Friday, “It pains me as a player to see the pride of our country protesting on the streets”.
While Sehwag wrote, “This is a sensitive matter and it needs an impartial investigation.”
Former Indian all-rounder Pathan said, “Indian athletes are always our pride and not only when they bring us medals…
