Travis Head Century takes Australia to 241/6 at Stumps on rain interrupted Day 1 : Australia vs England, 5th Ashes Test, Day 1 Report

Australia in-form batter Travis Head continued his run of form with his bat and scored another hundred and made Australia take the command of the steering wheel but just after scoring the hundred got out on the next ball. Cameron Green too showed his class by scoring 74 and took hosts to 241/6 before the rain interrupted the game which led to early stumps on opening day at the Bellerive Oval.

The visitors’ bowlers Stuart Broad and Ollie Robinson picked two wickets each while Mark Wood and Chris Wood added one to their tally as well. The visitors have already lost the Ashes, but somehow managed to gain some lost respect after their nail-biting draw in Sydney.
