Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya ruled out of New Zealand Test Series
Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the test series for New Zealand as well. The all-rounder has been on the sidelines since South Africa T20I series last year due to back injury. Pandya was originally named in the India A squad for the four-day unofficial matches but pulled out after failing the fitness test, and today again he all-rounder failed the test second time in a month.
Hardik will continue his rehabilitation at NCA under the direction of Rahul Dravid
Now with Hardik and Ishant out due to injuries that may open the door for someone like Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur who have impressed against Australia and New Zealand. The bench strength is already so well set up that even after that players like Khaleel Ahmed and Mohammad Siraj can fill in the shoes anytime. Well with Bumrah back Indian pace attack looks well set with Shami and Umesh forming the prolonged pace-attack. Talking about the all-rounders Shivam Dubey might get the nod over Vijay Shankar is the selectors decides to go with one fast bowling all-rounder. But with Ashwin and Jadeja it seems highly unlikely.
