India vs NZ 2020 : Jasprit Bumrah breaks the unique record in T20 Internationals

Jasprit Bumrah on Sunday created a unique feat against New Zealand in the 5th T20. Bumrah bowled with the exceptional bowling figures of 4-1-12-3, that won him Man of the Match as well. In the process Bumrah bowled his seventh maiden over in T20 Internationals which is now the most by any bowler. Bumrah overtookl Nuwan Kulasekara of Sri Lanka who bowled 6 maidens in 206.1 overs while the dynamic pacer achieved the feat in only 178.1 overs, which is considerably way ahead.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah just made a comeback last month from a back injury that kept him aside for 4 months. The pacer was looking bit rusty but on Sunday with 3-Wicket haul the pacer returned to form as well. Bumrah’s next assignment will be the 3-match ODI series against the same rivals and after that 2-match Test Series to conclude the tour. Bumrah’s unique feat also seems special as the pacer is only utilized either in the ower plays or in the slog overs so the level which Bumrah sets on himself is also taking a bow at him.

As a skipper we can say that Virat is lucky to have a fast bowler like Bumrah who is not only consistent but also a vital cog in all the formats. Bumrah can easily be said as ‘Kohli of Indian bowling’ who doesn’t rely on the conditions but rather on his abilities.
