With the Under-19 World Cup underway, defending champions India are on a roll in this edition as the Priyam Garg-led side have marched into the semi-finals of the event. India produced an impressive performance against Australia, defeating them by 74 runs in a low scoring encounter. It was completely an all-round performance and the brilliant comeback to make a way into the semi-finals. India will now face arch-rivals Pakistan on Tuesday at Potchefstroom who trounced Afghanistan in the Quater-finals.

Meanwhile cricketkeeda had a conversation with one of the most experienced U-19 player of India Gaurav Dhiman who played two editions in 2004 and 2006. Dhiman was there as an all-rounder and is still remembered for his 75 ball 109 in the junior Afro-Asia finals in 2006. Dhiman feels that India are the hot favourites again to lift the title this time again and the balance of the team provides them an edge over other teams.

Dhiman also picked the players to watch out for India in the future and felt that skipper Priyam Garg who is technically sound, left-handed opener Yashashwi Jaiswal who has already impressed in the domestic tournaments, in the bowlers Dhiman picked Karthik Tyagi who is already bowling at 140+, Shushant who is left-armer with 140+ speed as well and Ravi Bishnoi who is an economical bowler. Gaurav laid the importance for team effort to defend the World Cup.

With such red-hot form India are definitely the favorites and need to maintain the balance and continue all-round effort to win the World Cup.
