Kagiso Rabada withdrawn from South Africa ODI squad to face India to manage workload

Pacer Kagiso Rabada has been released by the Cricket South Africa for the upcoming three match ODI series against Indian starting from 19 January due to workload management.

“Proteas seam bowler, Kagiso Rabada, has been released from the team for the Betway One-Day International (ODI) series against India due to high workloads over a sustained period of time and the need for him to recover prior the outbound Test series against New Zealand next month,” the SouthAfrica Cricket board stated.

The board will not announce any replacement as they have already opted for extended squad due to bio secure environment. George Linde has been retained from the test squad as an extra spinner.
