Seven Indian team members have been tested positive for COVID-19 just before the West Indies series. Opener Shikhar Dhawan and Ruturaj Gaikwad among the players who have been tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the three-match ODI series starting from February 6 in Ahmedabad.
The players and support staff have contacted the virus during the quarantine period. Batter Shreyas Iyer has been tested positive for the corona virus upon landing in Ahmedabad. Reserve fast bowler Navdeep Saini has also been tested positive for COVID-19 amongst the seven team members.

The BCCI said that all positive results emerged after the India squad had undergone three RT-PCR tests upon landing in Ahmedabad on January 31. Shikhar Dhawan and Navdeep Saini returned positive tests after the first round of testing on January 31.
Dilip and Lokesh also tested positive on the same day. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had cleared the January 31 test, returned a positive test the next day, while Iyer and Rajeev returned positive tests on Wednesday during the third round of testing.
India will play 3 match ODI series in Ahmedabad against the West Indies from February 6. The two teams will also play a 3-match T20I series in Kolkata from February 16.
