On-field altercations between veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and the umpire is nothing new. There have been many occasions when Shakib has openly shown his displeasure against the umpire’s decision.
A similar sight was also seen during the Bangladesh Premier League when he clashed with the umpire over the decision not to give a wide.
The video of this altercation between Shakib and the umpire is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which he is seen shouting at the umpire.
Actually this incident happened in the 16th over when Shakib ducked a bouncer ball and started looking towards the umpire in the hope of wide. When the decision of the wide did not come from the umpire, he first went to the leg umpire and then started arguing with the main umpire. Actually it was the first bouncer of the over for which Shakib was demanding wide.
This is not the first time that Shakib has lost his temper over the umpire. Earlier, he did the same in Dhaka Premier League 2021.

However, later he realized his mistake and apologized after the match. Recently, he also raised questions on the way BPL was organized and said that if he is made its CEO, he will fix everything in 2-3 months.
