Scotland got their ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 campaign off to a flying start, beating Ireland by one wicket at the Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo on Wednesday. The Richie Berrington-led side needed eight runs to win off the last over with 2 wickets in hand. He was given a thrilling victory off the last ball by Michael Lesk, who scored an unbeaten 91 off 61 balls.

When two runs were needed from the last ball to win, the ball took an inside edge of Lesk’s bat and went outside the boundary line, dodging the wicket-keeper.
