Actually, Indian captain Rohit Sharma believes that this may or may not happen. Hitman said, ‘Whether players will get a break or not depends on their teams. I don’t think any player will take a break during IPL. We have given suggestions to some teams, but it is up to the teams to accept or not. The teams will decide, as well as it depends on the players. If he feels that he is playing too much then he can take a break of 1-2 matches.’

Now it is expected that Rohit will also take  break from 2-3 matches during the IPL season as he has to play continuous cricket after IPL and he is not only an important batsman of the Indian team but also the captain.

So in this, if we talk about the captaincy of Mumbai Indians, Suryakumar Yadav seems to be the strongest contender for captaincy in the absence of Rohit.

On begin a Captain of Team India Rohit talked from injuries of players to giving them rest –

He said, ‘They (players) are all adults. So they can take good care of their body and if they feel that cricket is getting too much then they can talk about it and take rest for one or two matches. By the way, I doubt that this will happen.’

Rohit further said, ‘To be honest, everyone is trying their best to keep the players fit. We are paying a lot of attention to the management of the players and hence we have also given rest to some players in between.’
