Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), struggling with the injury of the players, included two new players in the team on Friday. Royal Challengers Bangalore have included South African left-arm fast bowler Wayne Parnell (Rs 75 lakh) and Karnataka pacer Vaishak Vijay Kumar (Rs 20 lakh).

They have been signed in place of Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar. Faf du Plessis-led RCB was defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders by 81 runs on Thursday.
It can be noted that Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar will be unavailable for the remaining matches of the IPL due to shoulder and heel injuries respectively. Parnell has played 26 matches for Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. Parnell last played in 2014.
He was later also named in South Africa’s squad for last year’s T20I World Cup in Australia. Parnell played for the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20’s inaugural season. He took 10 wickets in 9 matches at an economy of 7.85.
On the other hand, the 26-year-old Vaishak has not featured in the IPL before but has been a consistent performer in the domestic season, he took 10 wickets at an economy of 6.31 in Syed Mushtaq Ali’s 8 T20I matches. He was Karnataka’s joint-highest wicket-taker in the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy, with 31 wickets in 8 matches at an average of 24.58.
