India’s cricketing prowess was on full display as they notched up another impressive victory, this time securing the ODI series against South Africa with a commanding 78-run win in the third and final encounter. Following a stellar performance in the T20I contest, the guests continued their dominance, outclassing the Proteas in every aspect of the game.

A lighthearted moment stole the spotlight during the match when a humorous banter unfolded between India’s captain KL Rahul and South African spin all-rounder Keshav Maharaj. As Keshav took to the crease, the familiar strains of the song “Ram Siya Ram” accompanied him, a customary musical tribute.

Rahul, donning the wicket-keeping gloves, couldn’t help but jest, “Keshav bhai, every time you come to bat, they play this song.” This amusing exchange showcased the camaraderie shared between players, adding a fun element to the competitive atmosphere.

Turning the focus to the game itself, India posted an imposing total of 296, fueled by a stellar performance from Sanju Samson, who notched up his maiden ODI century with an impressive 108 runs. Tilak Varma’s dynamic knock of 52 runs further contributed to India’s formidable total.

In response, the South African batting lineup failed to ignite any charm. The Indian bowling attack wreaked havoc, consistently delivering shocks at regular intervals and eventually bundling out the hosts for 218 runs in 45.5 overs. Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh emerged as the standout performer for the Men in Blue, claiming four crucial wickets for 30 runs in his nine-over spell.
