The players auction for IPL 2023 has started today in Kochi. In this mini auction all the franchises will try to improve their team by buying some players. A total of 405 players are participating in the auction, of these, 273 are Indian players.

Joe Root and Riley Rossouw Remain Unsold –

England’s Joe Root and South Africa’s Riley Rossouw remain unsold. Rossouw also scored a century in T20I on the Indian tour.

Rahane bought by Chennai Super Kings –

Ajinkya Rahane has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 50 lakh. This year Rahane will be seen playing with Dhoni’s team.

Mayank Agarwal bought in Hyderabad for 8.25 crore –

Mayank Agarwal’s base price was Rs 1 crore. He has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.25 crore.

SRH buys Harry Brook for 13.25 crores –

There was a tough fight between the franchises for England’s star batsman Harry Brook. Initially Royal Challengers Bangalore started the bidding. After this RCB withdrew the name. Then there was a fight between Rajasthan and Hyderabad. Later Rajasthan withdrew the name. In this way, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Harry Brook for Rs 13.25 crore. He is the costliest in this IPL so far. Brook scored a century off 48 balls in the Pakistan Super League.

Gujarat bought Williamson –

Kane Williamson has been bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2 crore. Gujarat has further strengthened its team by buying Williamson. Sunrisers Hyderabad released Williamson this year. Gujarat team is the defending champions.
