Qualification

IPL follows a double round-robin format, where each team plays against every other team twice – once at home and once away. After the league stage, the top four teams in the points table make their qualifications for the knockout stages..

The playoff stage includes three matches – Qualifier 1, Eliminator, and Qualifier 2. The team that finishes at the top of the points table after the league stage plays against the team that finishes fourth in Qualifier 1. The winner of Qualifier 1 goes directly to the final, while the loser plays against the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2. The winner of Qualifier 2 then goes to the final.

To increase their chances of qualifying, teams need to win as many matches as possible and maintain a high net run rate. However, the exact qualification scenarios will depend on the results of the matches played in IPL 2023.
