IPL 2023 is just a few days away. The new blockbuster season will begin on 31st March. Defending champions Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Four-time champion Chennai was at number 9 last season. The match between Gujarat and Chennai will start at 7:30. Opening ceremony will be organized before this match.
Who will perform –
According to reports, Rashmika Mandanna and Tamannaah Bhatia may perform at the opening ceremony of IPL 2023. Along with this, the names of Katrina Kaif, Tiger Shroff and Arijit Singh are also running in the list of performers.
The opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League took place on 4 March. Apart from hip-hop singer AP Dhillon, Bollywood actresses Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon won the hearts of the audience with their performances.
Where and when will the opening ceremony be held –
The opening ceremony will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium before the match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. It is believed that it can start from 6:30 in the evening, this will last for about 45 minutes.
Event not held after 2018 –
Opening ceremony has not been held in IPL since 2018 season. In 2018, Indian stars like Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Hrithik Roshan performed. Pulwama attack took place on February 14 in 2019, in which a total of 40 soldiers were martyred.

The opening ceremony was canceled in honor of these martyrs. The money for the opening ceremony was given to the families of the martyrs. Since then it was not organized due to Corona.
