The mega auctions of the Indian Premier League 2022 is all set to take place between 12 and 13 February in Bengaluru. Brijesh Patel, BCCI chairman confirmed the dates after the meeting of the IPL Governing Council. He also confirmed that TATA group will the title sponsor of the IPL 2022 and will be replacing the Chinese mobile manufacturer VIVO. The board is yet to take a call on venues for the upcoming season. The board will assess the condition of covid in March as they are in touch with all stakeholders and the government for holding the IPL.

The two new teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad will join the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022 and make it a 10-team tournament, the RPSG group won the rights for the Lucknow franchise after a whopping Rs 7,090 crore bid and CVC Capital successfully bid with Rs 5,625 crore for Ahmedabad.
