The Former Veteran Fast Bowler of Indian Team Zaheer Khan has been honored with Padma Shri 2020. Zaheer Khan is the only one Cricketer in the list of 141 awardees for the year 2020. The Padma Shri is the 4th Highest Civilian award in India after the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhusan, and the Padma Bhusan. Gautam Gambhir was also the only one Cricketer in the last year’s list of Padma Awardees .

The Former Pacer has 610 Wickets in front of his name, in 309 International Encounters he played for India. His 311 Wickets in 92 Tests is what makes him the second most successful Pacer only after Kapil Dev. He also has 100+ Wickets in IPL, helping him to retain the Spot of Director of Cricket Operations for the Mumbai Indians. His dedication in Cricket has brought him this Glory. So now better to be called he is “Padma Shri Zaheer Khan”.
