Gill was completely bowled over by Jadeja’s ball waving in the air. Before Gill even tried to return to the crease, before that Mahi scattered the stumps showing the agility of a leopard.

Electing to bat first after losing the toss, Shubman Gill and Saha had given an excellent start to Gujarat Titans. Like every match, Gill was seen in excellent form in this match as well and had scored 39 runs in 20 balls. In such a situation, Captain Dhoni put Ravindra Jadeja on the attack for bowling. Jadeja was also successful in trapping Gill in his spin net on the last ball of the seventh over of the innings.

The last ball of Jadeja’s over turned slightly and Shubman Gill went beyond the crease in an attempt to hit the ball. Standing behind the wicket, MS Dhoni did not give Gill any chance to get back inside the crease and ended his innings with a brilliant stumping. Shubman Gill was trapped badly in the net woven by Jadeja and Dhoni and had to return to the pavilion.

Shubman Gill got a lifeline in the second over of the match, but the Gujarat opener could not take advantage of it. Deepak Chahar had dropped a simple catch of Gill on the ball of Tushar Deshpande. However, this mistake of Deepak did not cost CSK much.
