Shahrukh Khan finished things off in style for Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu win their third Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy crushing Karnataka by four wickets. Prateek Jain was the man at the other end for Karnatka to defend 16 runs of the final over. Tamil Nadu required 5 runs of the final delivery, and Shahrukh Khan hit the ball in air. Prateek Jain tried to cramp the batsman but Shahrukh Khan whipped the ball over deep square leg for a big six.
Tamil Nadu as mentioned have now won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy thrice (2006/07, 2020/21 and 2021/22), the most by a side in history. Shahrukh Khan’s unbeaten 15-ball 33 help Tamil Nadu retain the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With team’s brilliant effort they also avenged their one-run defeat against Karnataka in the final of the 2019/20 edition, in Surat.

Pakistan sweep Bangladesh 3-0 in T20I Series
On Monday, Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets to complete 3-0 clean sweep at Sher-E Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh posted a total of 124 with the loss of 7 wickets in the final T20I of the three match series. Bangladesh batters struggled to get going again after opting to bat. Mohammad Naim took 50 balls to score 47.

Shubman Gill set to bat in middle order, Suryakumar added to test Squad : Reports
According to reports, Shubman Gill might feature in the middle order of the Indian test team for the upcoming red ball series against New Zealand. Mayank Agarwal is likely to replace Rohit Sharma as opener in the first match of the series.
With Rahul and Mayank opening the batting, Gill might get a chance in the middle order. Gill showed his class in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2021. He is a good timer of the ball, and has played as an opener for team India since his debut in 2020.

The reports also suggest that uncapped batter Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the Indian test squad for the series against kiwis. Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav didn’t get a spot in 16-men squad (excluding Virat Kohli) but is set to join the team at Kanpur for the contest, if reports are to be believed.
Suryakumar Yadav was also included in the squad which travelled to England for the test series, as replacement to Shubman Gill. He was accompanied with Prithvi Shaw in his flight to England.
