West Indies Players Tests Positive for COVID-19
The West Indies players arrived Karachi on Thursday. Three West Indies players have been tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus in Karachi. Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell and Kyle Mayers have been tested positive for COVID-19 just before the T20 Series. The West Indies are touring Pakistan to play 3 match T20 Series and as many ODIs.

The first match of the T20 Series will be played on Monday, that is, 13th December in Karachi. The players are kept in isolation after the detection of COVID-19 Virus. The three positive players will not be available for selection for the T20 Series.
Indian team to undergo three-day quarantine before flying to South Africa
The Indian cricket team will undergo a three-day quarantine before flying to South Africa for the Test and ODI series. India will play three Tests and as many ODIs . But at this point of time only the Test squad will travel to South Africa. Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Arzan Nagwaswallam, Hanuma Vihari and the trainer, Vivek Ramakrishna of the India A squad have stayed back in South Africa.

Some of the Indian players attended a mini camp in Mumbai before going into the isolation. Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Shardul Thakur are amongst the players who were part of the mini camp. Hard Quarantine has been mandated on arrival in South Africa because of the new super spreader variant of COVID-19, called the Omicron.
