Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been having a sensational IPL-2021 to say the least. Both of them lead the points table and both are second and first respectively. While CSK have won three out of their last four matches, RCB remain unbeaten in IPL-2021 and are yet to lose a match this season. They have won all their matches this season and look in no mood to stop. While both the teams are going to face each other for the first time in IPL-2021, could these two teams be our finalists of the year? Can CSK and RCB face each other in the IPL-2021 Final? Today we shall be discussing if we are moving towards an RCB vs CSK Finals in IPL-2021?

CSK looked completely out of touch in their first match. Delhi Capitals (DC) managed to beat them pretty easily. However, post that they have looked unstoppable. They managed to beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) rather easily. They then survives a mini scare from Cummins and Russell as they managed to beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a high scoring match. Now talking about Kohli’s RCB, they have been brilliant so far. They beat the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) with the help of a Harshal fifer and an AB masterclass. They then snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and then managed to defeat KKR and RR rather comfortably. Now coming to the main question, can we see CSK and RCB face each other in the IPL-2021 Final? Why not? Both of them have their strengths and weaknesses well assessed now itself and they can very much reach the final. However one must remember the law of average and the fear of peaking too early. Either of the two teams can easily get exposed in the late stage of the league.

While both teams are strong right now, all it takes are 2 to 3 bad games to lose the momentum and confidence. This could result in them being shockingly knocked out of the tournament. Such things have happened to various teams in previous edition’s as well. However having shown the negative aspects of looking good early in the tournament, it looks highly unlikely that either of teams would falter towards the end as one must remember that both the teams have a genius Kiwi to handle things. While CSK have Stephen Fleming, RCB have Mike Heeson. Both of them are experienced and would ensure that MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli don’t make any silly errors in the ongoing IPL-2021. If both the teams do reach the finals it would be really interesting as the two teams have a rivalry of their own. The Chennai Super Kings lead the head-to-head record against the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 17-9. Both franchises registered one win against each other in IPL 2020. RCB beat CSK by 37 runs in Dubai before MS Dhoni’s team avenged that defeat at the same venue. It will be interesting to see if RCB can record their tenth win against CSK in IPL 2021 on Sunday afternoon.
