Shaun Tait quits as Afghanistan fast-bowling consultant with immediate effect
Shaun Tait has also resigned from his post, a day after head coach Lance Klusener announced his decision to not extend his contract with Afghanistan cricket board. Shaun Tait was appointed as the fast bowling consultant for the Afghanistan men’s cricket team in August this year.
Shaun Tait’s contract was supposed to end in December this year, and with a month’s time still left he quits the position with immediate effect. Shaun Tait has been signed by Puducherry(India) as the bowling coach for the next domestic season.
Mendis six-for leaves Sri Lanka vs West Indies Test evenly poised
The Sri Lanka spinners bowled out West Indies innings for just 253 runs. Ramesh Mendis, the star for Sri Lanka in the 1st innings of the 2nd test registered his career best figures of 6/70. He took his maiden five wicket haul in test cricket. On the other hand, Praveen Jayawickrama and Lasith Embuldeniya picked two wickets each to bowl out Windies for mere 253.

Kyle Mayers 36 not out gave the visitor a lead in the 1st innings. Captain Kraig Braithwaite played a brilliant knock of 72. Coming to bat in the second innings, Sri Lanka endured major setbacks. They lost both Dimuth Karunaratne and Oshada Fernando to West Indies’s fielding, run-out.

Andy Flower leaves Punjab Kings, Trevor Bayliss moves on from Sunrisers Hyderabad
A day after IPL 2022 Retentions, Andy Flower and Trevor Bayliss have moved on as well. Andy Flower, the assistant coach of Punjab kings and Trevor Bayliss, the Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach have stepped down from their posts. They are likely to join the new franchise- Lucknow for the upcoming season.
Trevor Bayliss is one of the finest coaches. Under him, the England team lifted their maiden World Cup trophy. Trevor Bayliss and Andy Flower did not made any comment regarding their connection with the Lucknow franchise. The new Lucknow franchise has contacted the former World Cup winning coach Gary Kirsten and the former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori for the post of head coach. KL Rahul is likely to lead the side, as the reports suggests. It could possibly the reunion of the Rahul – Flower duo, as they move from Punjab to Lucknow.
