CSK retains MS Dhoni for three years, KL Rahul to lead Lucknow in IPL 2022 : Reports
Latest reports on IPL 2022 retention suggests that CSK have retained their skipper, MS Dhoni, for the next three years. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and the Orange Cap winner of IPL 2021 Ruturaj Gaikwad have also been retained by the franchise. One of the English All-Rounders Moeen Ali, and Sam Curran could also be retained by CSK. Retention reports of MS Dhoni for next three years has made it clear that, MS Dhoni hasn’t yet finished wearing the Yellow jersey.

The Indian express reported star batter KL Rahul will part ways with Punjab Kings. Lucknow and Ahmedabad are the two new IPL franchises, both teams are in talk with star players playing in IPL. KL Rahul has agreed to join the Lucknow based franchise, as the reports suggested.
Delhi Capitals are set to retain Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and pacer Anrich Nortje. The earlier reports suggested that Shreyas Iyer wanted to lead the franchise. but the Capitals wish to continue with Pant.
Shakib ruled out of Chittagong Test against Pakistan
The star all rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the first test match against Pakistan starting from 26 November in Chittagong. The Bangladesh cricket board chief selector Minhaj ul Abedin confirmed Shakib’s absence.
Shakib Al Hasan has not fully recovered from his hamstring injury that he suffered during the world cup. Shakib in order is set to miss the first test of the upcoming series against Pakistan. Shakib might take a longer period of time to recover from the injury. This certainly indicates that he will not be available for the whole series.

Mahmudullah retires from Test cricket
The T20 captain of Bangladesh Mahmudullah Riyadh has announced his retirement from test cricket, as confirmed by the Bangladesh cricket board on 24th November. He made his comeback to the test side this year against Zimbabwe.

He scored his career best 150 not out against the Zimbabwe team which led Bangladesh to win the match by 220 runs. Mahmudullah will continue to play T20 and ODI for Bangladesh. He made his test debut against West Indies in 2009 in West Indies. He has scored over 3000 runs at an average of 33.4 which included 5 centuries. Mahmudullah also has a five wicket haul in the test format. He has took 43 wickets in his career.
Shreyas Iyer to make Test debut in Kanpur
Shreyas Iyer is all set to make his test debut against New Zealand in the first game of the two match test series, The series begins on 25th November at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
The Indian captain, Ajinkya Rahane confirmed in the pre match press conference about Iyer’s debut in the longest format of the game. Shreyas Iyer will play at Number 4 for team India in absence of Virat Kohli. The position is ideal for the middle order batsman.
