It is no secret that IPl is the richest cricket league in the world. Many players have become millionaires by just playing the league. The recently concluded IPL 2021 auctions has now changed the lives of many rising and veteran players. Today we shall be taking a look at the top 5 earning cricketers in IPL currently acted the IPL 2021 auctions.

1) Virat Kohli:

The IPL 2021 auctions hasn’t changed anything for India’s captain across all formats. Virat Kohli is still the highest earning cricketer in the Indian Premiere League. He earns 17 crore rupees as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) retained him for 17 crore rupees in 2018. It is safe to say that he deserves this amount as he’s been one of the greatest players in the history of the league.

2) Chris Morris:

The RCB-reject has surpassed Yuvraj Singh to become the most expensive signing in the history of the cash-rich league. Earlier, the Proteas all-rounder was signed by Rajasthan Royals(RR) for Rs 16.25 crore at the IPL 2021 auction. Morris bagged 11 wickets at an economy of 6.63 and also played small cameos with the willow for Kohli’s RCB last season. The Proteas starman has joined the Royals for a whopping Rs 16.25 crores.

3) Yuvraj Singh:

Morris dethroned Yuvraj Singh on Thursday as the most expensive IPL player. In 2015, Delhi Daredevils had purchased Yuvraj Singh for Rs 16 crore, which at that time was the highest any team had ever paid for a player. The all-rounder is now placed at second position in the list of most expensive players. Yuvraj Singh was even sold for 14 crore rupees in the auctions prior to that

4) Kyle Jamieson:

New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamieson not only kickstarted bidding wars among the strong title contenders of domestic cricket’s biggest extravaganza, but the promising young talent became the second most expensive buy at the IPL 2021 auction. Jamieson has joined Royal Challengers Bangalore for a staggering Rs 15 crore fee ahead of the new season. It would be exciting to see if he can repay the faith shown by the Bangalore management

5) Glenn Maxwell:

Despite a forgetful season in the IPL 2020 with the Rahul-led side, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was roped in by Kohli’s RCB for Rs 14.25 crores. The power-hitter of the Australian national team had triggered a bidding war between RCB and CSK in Chennai. Maxwell was released by Punjab Kings and the star batsman had even failed to hoick a single maximum in the IPL 2020. All eyes will be on him as his IPL record hasn’t really been the best for quite a while now
