It is safe to say that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB have been the underdog of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) something or the other has always stopped them from winning the league. If RCB have to win IPL 2021 then they have to have a good IPL 2021 auctions. RCB will enter the IPL 2021 Auction with an INR 35.7 crore in their purse as they are expected to make some big buys for the upcoming season. Today we shall take a look at 3 players who RCB might target in the upcoming auctions

1) Steve Smith:

It won’t be surprising if RCB go for Steve Smith. Steve Smith and Virat Kohli in the same team? Together? Might just be a reality as After releasing Aaron Finch, RCB desperately need a batsman who can take some responsibility from Kohli and De Villiers’ shoulders. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals made a bold move by releasing Steve Smith who was their skipper in the last two seasons. Smith’s abilities in T20 format has always been under scanners but the premier Australia batsman can be a solution to RCB’s woes.

2) Chris Morris:

RCB released Morris despite him having a good IPL 2020. He was superb at the death and played a few quick cameos as well. The Proteas pacer led the RCB pace attack in IPL 2020 and impressed everyone with his performances as he claimed 11 wickets in 9 matches. Though he missed several matches due to injury concerns. Many have still raised questions over Morris exclusion from the RCB team but it is referred to as a tactical move by many as he was bought for massive Rs 10 crore last year. RCB might go the Proteas pacer again to acquire his services for a lesser amount this time.

3) Jason Roy:

Jason Roy has been one of the most aggressive openers of this era. His ability to hit the ball a long way has managed to impress each and everyone. The right-handed opening batsman has played 8 IPL matches, where he has scored 179 runs, including one half-century, which was 91 not out. But due to his inactivity in the delayed IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals recently released this English opener.

RCB needs an experienced opening batsman and Jason Roy can perfectly fit in this team’s nature. If Roy makes himself available for the IPL 2021, RCB can target him to buy in the IPL 2021 auction.
