Indian captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl. Kohli shared this good news on Twitter, this resulted in a lot of positive tweets about the couple. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma arrives generally known as Virushka on social media. lovingly called ‘Virushka’ by fans had announced their pregnancy in August last year. The couple shared similar posts on social media and had written, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”

 

Kohli tweeted the news on Twitter today at 4:12 PM. Kohli wrote, “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.” As soon as Virat made the beautiful post, best wishes started pouring in for the couple. The cricketer’s teammates from Virendra Sehwag to Yuzvendra Chahal, everyone took to the cricketer’s post to shower the couple with happy comments. This is Virushka’s first child. The couple got married in December 2017 at a traditional wedding in Italy after which they threw a lavish wedding reception in both Mumbai and Delhi. Anushka and Virat announced the news of their pregnancy during the coronavirus lockdown in August. The Instagram post that they made to announce the news became the most viral post of the year and the polka-dotted dress that Anushka wore became one of the most sold outfits of the year on various retail websites. Virushka are one of the just popular couples in India and all the news channels seem to have developed a certain liking to this couple and daily routine.

 

The couple got married in a private ceremony in Italy in November 2017 after dating for four years. Kohli is currently on paternity leave and is not part of the Border/Gavaskar trophy. Kohli was allowed a paternity leave by the BCCI to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. Although he travelled to Australia, he only played the limited-overs series and the Adelaide opener of the Test series before returning home to his wife. Kohli will be next seen in action in the home Test series against England, beginning February 5.
